GB849/GB850 standard ball/taper washers are a type of fastener used for bolts or screws and are mainly used to provide uniform load distribution and to prevent the head of the screw or nut from pressing through the material being joined. These washers are usually made of carbon steel, stainless steel or other non-ferrous metals and can be available in different surface finishes such as galvanized, nickel-plated or cadmium-plated for improved corrosion resistance and aesthetics.
